Ordering and Payments

Use the Purchase, Pricing, Products, Online Store or Buy Now links to purchase the FC Products. Click on the Gift Card image on the Home page to purchase a Gift Card.

You can pay for your purchases with PayPal using your credit card or bank account, or your own PayPal account.

Please provide feedback if you would prefer to use a different payment gateway, such as eWay.

Shipping and Delivery

When you purchase one of our FC Products, it can be automatically downloaded to your computer immediately after payment and receipt of the funds.

You also have options to receive a CD through the post, or obtain the FC Product in an email attachment. In the latter case, if you don't receive your purchase, please check your Spam Filters and make our site one of your trusted sources.

Purchasing Steps

To purchase an FC Product, go to its Products’ catalog page and click on Buy Now. It will be placed in your Shopping Cart, where you can click on Proceed to Checkout to complete the ordering and downloading in a few simple steps.

The first two steps ask for Shipping/Billing information, and Payment information, with options of PayPal, Gift Card or No Payment Information Required. The third step is to review the order – click on Place the Order to proceed. For FC Free (using the No Payment Information Required option) or Gift Card purchase you will then go directly to an order confirmation page which contains an Order Number and a link to My Downloadable Products. If you use the PayPal option, you will be re-directed to PayPal, and if payment is successful, when you return to our web site you will be able to view your order in My Account, My Orders. It will have a Status of Pending or Processing. You can download your FC Product in My Account, My Downloadable Products when the Status there is Available. This will happen immediately for FC Free, and for the other FC Products when we have received your purchase funds.

Downloading

To see your order, go to My Orders in My Account. For FC Free it will have a Status of Processing immediately, and for other FC Products it will have a Status of Pending. When your payment has been invoiced and we have received the funds, the Status will change to Processing. For Credit Card payments, this invoicing and receipt of funds may happen shortly after placing your order, but it will usually happen by the end of the same day, or at least by the end of the next business day. For Bank Account payments, it may take a few days, depending on the bank. You may need to refresh the page (by pressing F5) to see the change of Status.
 
To download your purchase, go to My Downloadable Products in My Account, and click on the link to the FC Product in the Title column in the table shown. You can only do this when the Status column shows Available, which will happen immediately for FC Free, and when we have received your payment funds for other FC Products.
 
Your FC Product will be downloaded as a zip file containing a Windows Installer Package (MSI file) and a ReadMe.txt file explaining the installation process, which will take only a few minutes. Depending on your Security settings, you may be shown information on our VeriSign Digital Signature, which guarantees that the FC Product was manufactured by Formula Calculator Pty Ltd, and that it has not been tampered with since being manufactured. This means that it is safe to install the FC Product on your computer. After installation, you can view the Digital Signature by right clicking on the FC Product's exe file, selecting Properties from the pop-up menu, and clicking on the Digital Signatures tab.

It isn't necessary to register your downloaded FC Product, which will be usable immediately for the license period (and perhaps a little longer!).
 

Free Trial Versions

At our original site, http://fcalculator.com, from time to time, you will be able to download Free Trial Versions of the different FC Products, such as FC Arithmetic or FC Scientific. These can be used for a limited period of up to one month.
 
FC Free allows evaluation of the new method of calculation entry - namely typed-in or pasted-in calculations. In addition to this, the Free Trial Versions also allow evaluation of different tab pages, such as Statistics and Buttons, plus the menu system, which, among other things, enables a user to re-size the dialog-box window and change the text size, font, style and color.
 

Gift Cards

Buying

To purchase a Gift Card, click on the Gift Card image on the Home page, fill in the Card’s value, enter the email address of the person who will be receiving the Gift Card (or send it to yourself), and then click on Buy Now.

The process is then the same as for the FC Products.
 
After completion of the process, the Gift Card purchase will be in My Orders in My Account. It will have a Gift Card Number, and a Status of Pending. When your payment for the Gift Card has been invoiced, and we have received the funds, it will change to a Status of Processing, and the Gift Card can then be used to purchase FC Products. For Credit Card payments, this payment invoicing may happen shortly after placing your order, but it will usually happen by the end of the same day, or at least by the end of the next business day. For Bank Account payments, it may take a few days, depending on the bank.

Receiving

When someone purchases a Gift Card for you, you will receive an email containing the Gift Card number, and a PIN number.
 

Purchasing with a Gift Card

To use a Gift Card to make a purchase, go to My Cart and enter the Gift Card number into the Discount Code edit box and click Apply. A new total cost of the Shopping Cart contents will be calculated.
 
Click on Proceed to Checkout and at the Payment Information step, if the Gift Card covers the entire purchase, and the total cost is 0, the Purchase Information page will contain only the Gift certificate option. Click Continue to go to the Order Review step. If the Gift Card covers only part of the purchase, and the total cost is not 0, you will be directed to PayPal to pay the balance.

Each of our FC Products comes with a Money-Back Guarantee.

If there is an error in any calculation carried out using your FC Product, other than an operator error or a problem resulting from rounding, please report it at info@FormulaCalculator.com, and attach a saved calculator that shows the symptoms. As soon as possible, it will be fixed and you will be provided with an update to your FC Product that includes the fix for free. If it can't be fixed within a reasonable period, your purchase price will be refunded.

Security

The FC Products are protected by a Digital Certificate from VeriSign, the world's leading Certificate Authority. To view the Certificate information, right click on your FC Product's exe file, select Properties from the pop-up menu, and click on the Digital Signatures tab.

  • The Certificate was used to electronically sign the FC Product before it was uploaded to our web site

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Exchanges and refunds are provided through the Money-Back Guarantee. In addition, if a postal-delivered CD arrives in a damaged and unusable state, please return it to Formula Calculator Pty Ltd, and it will be replaced free of charge.

Also, in the unlikely event that:

  • A postal-delivered CD contains the wrong FC Product, please return it to Formula Calculator Pty Ltd, and we will check our records and inventory, and replace the CD free of charge.
  • An email attachment contains the wrong FC Product, please forward the email to Formula Calculator Pty Ltd, and we will check our records and correct the error free of charge.
  • An automatic download contains the wrong FC Product, please inform Formula Calculator Pty Ltd by email, and we will check our records, correct any relevant links on our site and send the correct FC Product in an email attachment free of charge. 

 

Please note that:

  • Formula Calculator Pty Ltd cannot be held responsible for FC Products that are not delivered due to incorrect email or postal addresses, so please be careful when entering contact information during Account creation or FC Product purchase.
  • There can be no refunds or returns in the case where a correctly delivered FC Product does not run on your computer. The FC Products run only on Windows, and, for example, there is no Linux version of the FC Products. You can download FC Free to check if the FC Products will run on your system. Also, please read the FC Product descriptions for specific System Requirements, and a list of the Windows operating systems that the FC Products can run on.

 

Updates and Upgrades

The FC Products come with free updates for a limited period after purchase. These will include bug fixes and minor improvements to features.

Some of the FC Products also come with free major Version Upgrades for a limited period after purchase. These will include major feature improvements.
