| The Formula Calculator Products work in a few simple steps |
|
The FC Products are simply calculators, and you can do the same things with them as you do with traditional, button-operated calculators, but there are many extra powerful features and benefits for all calculator users.
To do simple or complicated calculations:
1. Type the calculation in from the keyboard
2. Click a single = button to see the result
To compare related calculations with different numbers:
1. Duplicate the calculation using copy and paste
2. Edit the copy to change some of the numbers
3. Click = again to calculate and see both results at once
To save a calculation and continue at a future time:
1. Save the calculation in native format, using File/Save or File/Save As
2. Load it again later, using File/Open and Load, double click or drag and drop
3. Edit the calculation and re-calculate simply by clicking = again
|
| Why the Formula Calculator Products are technically different from other calculators |
|
Each of the Formula Calculator Products feature fully typed or pasted-in formulas as their method of calculation entry, which sharply differentiates them from traditional, button-operated calculators.
The FC Products’ method of calculation entry enables users to:
1. Type in any calculation from the keyboard, or paste it in from the clipboard
2. Click a single = button to calculate the final result
3. Inspect the fully visible, complete calculation after the result has been calculated, to check for accuracy
4. Change numbers and re-calculate by clicking = again, without completely re-entering the whole calculation
5. Do several things at once, using calculations separated by commas
6. Use copy and paste to import data from other software packages, construct calculations, or record calculations in other formats
After a calculation has been typed in, when the = button is clicked, each FC Product will automatically:
1. Analyse the structure of the calculation
2. Apply the operations in the correct order
3. Do calculations in parentheses first
4. Show only the final result, and not the irrelevant intermediate results
